Say Less To More People

Do you want quick results in your recruiting efforts? If yes, then say less to more people.

For many brand new network marketers that can be a challenge. Why? A new distributor gets all excited about their products, company, comp plan and bonuses that they just can’t wait to tell everybody they meet.

But the reality is not everyone will feel the same way. When approached by a very excited new distributor, most times it can turn the prospect off. And if your prospect does have any interest, they may think that they can’t do what you’ve done.

In network marketing you want to make things easy to duplicate. So saying less to more people is a way to see if your products and/or your opportunity is right for that prospect at that particular time of their life.

People don’t like to be sold. If you come off sounding like a sales person, many will say “I’m not a sales person and I can’t do what you’re doing.” You need to keep it simple and approach them the way that they’ll approach others when they get involved.

A highly recommended way is to use a 3rd party tool such as your company video, dvd, brochure or recorded webinar. Get the focus off of you.

Remember this: You are the messenger, NOT the message.

A simple script could be the following:

Hey (NAME), how are you?

I don’t have much time to talk but was it really important that I reach out to you.

You’ve been a great friend and I really appreciate you for that.

I’ve started a business with a product I think makes a lot of sense, but I’d like to get your input. If I sent you a link to a short video, would you take a look and give me your opinion?

If they say yes, then ask, “Great! I really appreciate it! How soon would you be able to watch it?”

When they give you the time they can watch the video, send the link and follow up with them at the time agreed upon.

If they say no thanks, that’s fine. Thank them and move on.

That’s it!

If your prospect does have interest and joins your team, they will see how simple it was to share the business and products.
